Media and Information Literacy Education (MILE)

MILE supports towards bridging the digital literacy gap amongst young men and women across Malawian communities through technology skills and knowledge transfer. MILE provides community members including children (8-17 years), youth (18-35 years) and elderly, access to digital skills training including computer programming, digital marketing, photography and videography, graphic design and end user computing, awareness and sensitization on existing digital technologies and networking events connecting ecosystem players with the community at large fostering community engagement and collaboration.

MILE has to date supported 572 children and youth with digital skills and up to 1400 community members reached with information on existing digital technologies and online safety.

Mzuzu E-Hub has recently scaled the MILE program by establishing tech hubs in Karonga district through FOCUS organisation and Rumphi district through Life Concern Organisation.
