Mzuzu E Hub Founder among 12 African Visionary Fellowship participants

Our Managing Director and Founder, Wangiwe Joanna Kambuzi, is among the 12 African Changemakers this year under the #AfricanVisionaryFellowship, a flagship program under Segal Family Foundation - SFF.

Segal Family Foundation believes that stellar individuals leading exemplary organizations are best placed to devise contextual and sustainable solutions to local challenges. When SFF analyzed the revenue growth of their partners, however, they saw that organizations founded and led by expatriates grew twice as fast as those led by Africans.

Local leaders at the forefront of development are not the focus of many donors' funding. SFF created the African Visionary Fellowship to disrupt this paradigm. The two-year fellowship offers capacity, community and connection.

Reacting to this opportunity, Miss Kambuzi said:

"The African Visionary Fellowship will support in enhancing my capacity as an organizational leader as well as the organization through the trainings and coaching support in areas we are experiencing gaps in. Most importantly, the connectivity aspect will contribute towards collaboration with other organizations and leveraging available opportunities with the larger donor community."

This opportunity provides a broad interactive level and we believe that this opportunity is a great networking platform and accords knowledge sharing and experience among the 12 fellows.

Miss Kambuzi added:

"I look forward to engaging with fellow visionaries as this will enrich my leadership and management skills thereby supporting the growth of Mzuzu E-Hub as we work towards scaling up our efforts in the region."
